Sorry I was out for vacation last week and just saw this now.
I am glad to see you were able to compile. We had another report of problems with RHEL and found that RedHat RHEL is still using a 2.6 kernel while Ubuntu and most other desktop distributions have moved to the 3.x kernel. The next release of RHEL will move to the 3.x kernel too, but I don’t know when you should expect that.
I was able to get a version to compile for 2.6 again by removing support for logistic regression. Although it sounds like you got through the issues, I can make that version available for you if you’d like.
I’ll have to double check the size required to run on the numbers you have. Although I run the windows version, I believe I have run similar numbers on a 24gb machine but didn’t check the memory consumption.
